🥄 Ingredients & Notes
All you need are a few pantry staples and a blender:
| Ingredient | Role & Notes |
| Sweet Potato | Adds natural sweetness, fiber, and creaminess. Roasted sweet potato gives the richest flavor — try either Japanese or orange-fleshed varieties. |
| Coconut Milk (or milk of choice) | Creates a creamy base. Coconut milk adds richness; almond or cashew milk also work well or use regular dairy if you'd prefer for a no-vegan version. |
| Maple Syrup | Naturally sweetens the drink and enhances the fall spices. Adjust to taste or use another natural sweetener. |
| Filtered Water | Helps thin the consistency so it blends and warms smoothly. Use more or less for desired thickness. |
| Spices: Cinnamon, Turmeric, Ginger, Nutmeg, Black Pepper | Warming, grounding. Use a pumpkin pie spice blend if that’s easier. Black pepper boosts turmeric’s absorption. |

🔪 How to Make This Sweet Potato Latte
- Prepare the sweet potato - Roast or steam it until tender, then peel.
- Blend - In a blender, combine the cooked sweet potato, milk, water, maple syrup, and spices. Blend until smooth and frothy.
- Warm it up - Pour into a small saucepan and heat gently over medium-low until steaming (not boiling).
- Serve - Pour into mugs, sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg, and enjoy!
💡 Tips & Variations
- For thicker texture: Use full-fat coconut milk or less water.
- Want it sweeter? Add a few extra teaspoons of maple syrup or a soft Medjool date.
- Spice it up: Add a pinch of clove or cardamom for a chai-like twist.
- Add-ins: Try a dash of vanilla extract, maca powder, or a splash of espresso for a dirty latte version.
- No time to roast? Steam or microwave your sweet potato until soft — just as tasty.
🥣 Storage & Serving
- Serve hot right away for the coziest experience.
- Store leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.

Turmeric is such a wonderful spice a I love this milk. My mom used to make plain turmeric and honey milk and it used to work wonderful for a cold. I can't wait to try this out with my boys.
