Welcome! I’m Sylvie Shirazi—recipe developer, food photographer, and whole‑food enthusiast behind Gourmande in the Kitchen. After discovering over a decade ago that I needed to remove gluten from my diet, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find healthy gluten‑free recipes that taste amazing. My mission? To make eating well easy, accessible, and delicious.
Here you’ll find recipes that are fast, fresh and full of flavor, with a focus on wholesome, seasonal ingredients and minimal preparation. All of my dishes are gluten‑free, and many are also dairy‑free, egg‑free, refined‑sugar-free, vegetarian or vegan—but you don’t need to follow a special diet to enjoy them.
Why the name “Gourmande in the Kitchen”?
A “gourmande” is someone who eats eagerly and with great passion—a lover of food. My hope is to inspire you to embrace your inner gourmande in the kitchen, even with diet restrictions, by using whole ingredients, bold flavors, and simple steps. It’s all about real food, big taste, and feeling good as you eat.
