This red juice is a sweet-tart combination of pomegranate, beet, red cabbage and ginger that will invigorate your taste buds.

It seems inevitable that come January we’re all struck with that overwhelming urge to get back on track and eat a little cleaner. If consuming more fresh produce is on your to-do list this year then you may want to add juicing to your daily routine.
Quick and easy, a homemade fruit and vegetable juice makes a wonderfully invigorating and tasty drink in the morning or afternoon when you’re looking for a pick me up that doesn't rely on caffeine.

My favorite juice to sip on at the moment is a sweet-tart combination of pomegranate, beets, red cabbage and ginger. I call it my red juice because of its vibrant color.
What's in red juice?
- Pomegranate - It's flavor plays beautifully with the other vegetables in the juice and adds sweetness.
- Beets - Like other richly colored fruits and vegetables beets are an excellent source of antioxidants. (I also throw in the leafy green beet tops for added vitamins).
- Red cabbage - With more nutrients than its paler green counter part thanks to its purple pigmentation it's a natural addition to this red juice.
- Ginger - Gives the whole thing an invigorating jolt to get you going, not to mention its digestive properties.

That’s a lot of goodness in a small glass and just the thing to give your body a natural lift when you need it. It has a good amount of kick from the ginger but not so much as to overwhelm your taste buds. The red cabbage and beets offer a mellow sweetness while the pomegranate juice balances everything with a nice tart finish.
So dig out your juicer and give it a try, it might become your new favorite pick-me up!

I LOVE beets in my juices! I just started using them last winter and the flavor and color they add is really nice. They seem to add so much richness and body to the juice. This is just stunning...as always...your photos are making me swoon.

That color to begin with is gorgeous but the addition of ginger makes it even more attractive.
