Could burnt toast be a thing of the past?

After a decade in development, it looks like the answer is yes, thanks to Magimix's Vision Toaster.  Magimix has solved the age old problem of burnt toast by creating the first transparent toaster currently on the market.

The idea of creating a toaster that allows you to monitor your bread while toasting is a simple one, but one that took many years of research and testing to perfect.  With its insulated glass windows, the Magimix Vision Toaster boasts an innovative design and incredible good looks, but its functionality is what makes this toaster stand apart from the rest.

People will notice this appliance when they walk into your kitchen thanks to its distinctive look.  The clever design incorporates four quartz elements  hidden in the corners of the appliance instead of traditional metal components, allowing for the see-thru window in the center.

The ingenious viewing window allows you to keep an eye on your bread as it toasts so it always comes out just the way you like it.  No need to hover over the toaster trying to see how crispy your bread is; you can easily check on its progress  from across the kitchen and pop up your toast when it's browned the way you like.

The four programmed settings include: toast, bagel, reheat and defrost.  The bagel function toasts just on one side so you get a nicely toasted interior surface and a soft exterior (This function works well for toasting slices of baguette as well).  The reheat function gently reheats your already toasted bread without drying it out.  The defrost function is a time saver, it simultaneously defrosts and then toasts your bread so your sliced bread can go from the freezer to your table.

The Magimix Vision Toaster is currently exclusively available at Williams Sonoma.  It comes in the stainless steel version shown here (ARV $249.95) as well as in these all new colors that were just released: Red, Ivory and Black (ARV $199.95).
