I have a feeling that you’ve been seeing a lot of this high-speed blender around these days and with good reason, the Blendtec Total Blender is powerful machine with lots of user-friendly features and it’s a work horse in a whole food kitchen. It has made such a difference in my kitchen; I use it every day.
As someone who spends a good amount of time in the kitchen, it’s important to me that my appliances are fast and efficient. I make a lot of smoothies, juices, soups and nutmilks and they come out silky and smooth in the Blendtec.
With this blender I can make beautiful smoothies, whole juices, soups, nut milks, dressings, nut butters, sauces, salsas, dips, and get a wonderful, creamy consistency every time that the lower end blenders just could never deliver. I particularly like the "whole juice" capability, which while different than a regular juicer which extracts only juice and no pulp, the Blendtec leaves the pulp in resulting in a more substantial but finely textured juice with all the fiber.
The pre-programmed options make blending easy, you just stack the ingredients in the jar, press a button and you’re done. You can walk away and continue to cook without worrying about over-blending since as it runs the digital timer counts the time and the Blendtec stops automatically when it’s done.
But what I was most excited about was the design of the new Twister Jar, which successfully addresses one of the primary issues with the original blender which is its difficulty blending small amounts. With the Wildside jar, blending small amounts or very thick ingredients can be a challenge as the ingredients are thrown to the sides requiring you to stop the machine to scrape the sides before continuing to blend. With the smaller Twister jar and it’s unique twist top which enables thick, dense ingredients to be redirected into the center of the jar, allowing the blades to fully incorporate all the ingredients. You simply twist the lid while the blender is running and the twisting motion pushes everything in towards the center and into the blade.
In short, because this blender works exceedingly well, is easy to use, and easy to clean up, it has become indispensable in my kitchen and I think it will be in yours too.
