This is the last installment in my 7 Links Challenge. The sixth and seventh parts of the challenge ask for : your most beautiful post and a post you feel didn’t get the attention it deserved.
# 6 Your most beautiful post – Chocolate Fig Tarts | Fresh Figs in Good Company
Based on the response I received I think the Chocolate Fig Tarts is considered my most beautiful post. Although I might have chosen my Mixed Berries in Rosé Wine with Honey Mascarpone | A Summery Fruit Soup simply because that first photo reminds me of summers in France when I look at it.
The Chocolate Fig Tarts were born out of a desire to use the Calimyrnas that caught my eye at the market. They were plump, fat, golden-green orbs, bulging at the sides and lusciously sweet.
I paired the figs with a dark chocolate coconut milk ganache in a a gluten-free and grain-free almond tart crust. I can never resist a good chocolate dessert as you may be able to tell from my chocolate gelato, chocolate blueberry truffles and my chocolate and milk toast and I suspect that I’m not the only one!
# 7 A post you feel didn’t get the attention it deserved – Kitchen Inspiration | Tools of the Trade
This was a post I truly enjoyed writing. The idea for the post came after a guest post I had done. The idea was to write a short “thank you” to my kitchen, like I would an old friend.
It made me think about the relationship that I have with my kitchen; how it makes me feel, how it inspires me, and the role it plays in my life.
I started to notice all the little things in my kitchen that inspire me when I’m cooking and the memories they recalled. It was a special post for me and I would have loved to see it get more attention.
And that concludes my version of the 7 links challenge. It wasn’t always easy to choose, but it was great fun, thank you Jeanne for nominating me.
And now, I nominate the following bloggers to take part in the challenge:
Amanda from i am baker
Naomi from Bakers Royale
Susan from The Urban Baker
Marla from Family Fresh Cooking
Sukaina from Sips and Spoonfuls
