If you had $100 to spend at Amazon this holiday season what would you buy?
Full-sized oven capabilities in a countertop oven is what the Kitchen-Aid 12-inch Convection Countertop Oven is all about. This oven is solidly built.
It has a spacious capacity which can easily accommodate casseroles, pizzas, and multiple slices of bread for toasting. It offers 3 main cooking functions: convection bake, broil and toast with a 60 minute timer. An additional function, warm, makes it easy to reheat or keep cooked food at the right temperature.
Not to mention that Kitchen Aid is highly respected for its quality appliances, so I couldn’t have been more pleased when they offered me the chance to take their countertop oven for a test spin.
Each season has its flavors, each holiday its traditions and every occasion its cocktail. With cooler weather and shorter days comes a natural return to fortifying spirits and familiar fall ingredients like apples and warming spices.
Fall is generally the season marked by crisp air, leaves turning colors, longer nights and cozy sweaters. And while that may be true for the rest of the country, here in Southern California we rarely reach those chilly temperatures that require the fortification of strong spirits.
Yet, that has never stopped me from embracing seasonal traditions in the face of somewhat unseasonal weather.
Now I love cauliflower, but I understand that it seldom receives a warm reception and that it will regrettably never be the sweetheart of the vegetable world. Although I will eagerly eat it raw, steamed or puréed, it’s just not something that a lot of people get excited about.
As I mentioned yesterday, I have an incredible giveaway for TWO 3-day juice cleanses!
This past month I experimented a couple times with juice fasting. Taking a 3-day break from food is challenging to say the least, but it was a beneficial experience that taught me a lot about my relationship with food. It reinforced the large role that food plays in my life, and its effects on me physically and emotionally. It made me stop and really focus on what I’m putting in my body.
