If you’ve been reading this blog for a while now, you may have noticed that I give measurements for my recipes in grams. That’s because I think weight measurements are the most accurate and reliable when cooking and baking. I believe every well-equipped kitchen should have a good kitchen scale, which is why I am pleased to share with you that EatSmart would like to send one of my readers a Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale.
Lemonade made with honey and ginger adds a kick to a classic.
A few weekends ago, spring was temporarily shoved aside by summer who decided he’d had enough of waiting his turn. It was warm — no, hot — and I opened up all the windows on the off chance a cool breeze might find its way inside. It felt good to be hot for the first time in months, and it made me a little lazy, so I decided to sit outside and enjoy it for a while.
I am guest posting today for Prerna of Indian Simmer while she is away visiting her family in India. I’m glad she’s enjoying this time with her family after 3 long years of not having been home, and I’m touched that she’s asked me to post on her site in her absence. I first met Prerna when she left a comment on one of my photos on Flickr, it sparked a conversation, we emailed back and forth and we have been friends ever since. With her laid-back nature and her enticing photography, Prerna makes cooking authentic Indian food at home accessible to everyone.
Warm creamy potatoes are dressed with a smooth rich crème fraîche sauce, fresh chopped herbs and lightly perfumed with a bit of grated lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Leemei, of My Cooking Hut has graciously invited me to guest post and share a recipe on her blog. Leemei is a UK-based food blogger whose blog I so happily discovered when I came across this post about her recent trip to Paris in which she shares her beautiful pictures of the city along with some of her favorite not-to-miss food spots. Her motto when it comes to food is “fresh, unfussy and healthy” and this resonates loudly with my own beliefs. For today’s recipe I chose a simple dish of potatoes.
